I just got back from a vacation in Maine

I completed eight drawings over this vacation. Each recording "something" about this trip. 2005 like the years prior was no exception when it came to a vacation filled with great FUN, FRIENDS and FANTASTIC ADVENTURES! Take a trip with me through these pages, the images and my narrative...

Welcome back!!! Love the "clock" character! And how perfect that a loon was your "alarm" to tell you that vacation had officially begun! (And good for you for leaving your watch home!) Looking forward to more!

Putting shoes on this morning and tucking in my shirt--a button shirt!--was real hard...

That's exciting! 'course you'll stll be as far or close as my L-J account as you've always been... ;-)

Here at the salt mines, things were TOTALLY WILD! We got some new naming convention / SOP stuff from pre-press, I got my yearly review, Wendi from Whalen came by, couple of new stock photo CDs, paper jam on the splash - you picked the wrong week to go, sucka! Better luck next year, Clocky!

PS! Man, I am about to give up on SOURPUSS!!! I canNOT come up with anew gag for that cat! Not dead yet, but in an iron lung and electricity bill is way overdue. PRAY FOR SOURPUSS!

You've got a great state!...'course as a reasident, I'm sure you're not all that thrilled about being "VACATIONLAND"....

But as a foreigner, I LOVE it!

I do, though, have a friend who I went to high school with who moved to Maine shortly afterwards. He's come to visit these last two years at out vacation site (as Farmington is not that far from Great Pond).

His 30 year residency helps put things into perspective like how weather on the lake is always changing and "very dramatic". Well, put that into winter terms and it equals brutal!

So, for all us out-of-staters that think it would be great "to move to Maine"...

Well, we just may not be "tough enough"!

I hate saying good-bye to the lake. (snapping turtle included!)

I'm also suffering from "cheek-aching, face-crackin' laughter withdrawl". After being with all of you 24/7, my home studio is painfully quiet again.
